Official Science Day 4
After a delicious breakfast of waffles, eggs, rice, and farm fresh fruit, we traveled to the Classroom(which we have all come to know and love). We then began a day inundated with hours of science! Each group collected samples from the colonies they collected yesterday which involved sacrificing a few unlucky leaf cutters. Lunch arrived with the promise of more scrumptious comida. The fried plantains were the highlight of the meal. The food here is AMAZING! After lunch we began working in our groups to design our actual experiments, which was somewhat frustrating due to limited time and resources. Today is Ibrihim's birthday! He is Adrian Pinto's student assistant. We all celebrated with cake and coffee. Then we continued to plan our experiments. For dinner we had a mysterious green soup, which we later discovered was spinach. Dessert consisted of banana cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. After dinner we presented our preliminary projects to our class and got valuable feedback. Can't wait for what's to come!
